Reimagining Downtown Los Angeles

Fuzzy Aggregate is about the contradiction, tension and synthesis between multiple discrete parts and indeterminately vague monolithic wholes. Our team has created a vision for LA mixed-use development that would accommodate both humans and machines in living and working harmoniously. The building exists over and under ground containing data centers, housing, co-working and entertainment program.

Intersection of Historic Aesthetics and Modern Urban Strategies

The approach surveyed, collected and classified multiple building objects from Downtown Los Angeles. Our team have recreated their fragments as digital forms and sorted them in "collection" of parts. This collection has been used for collages and aggregates, while shaping the outlines of the final form factor.

AI in Architectural Design

We have pioneered the use of early AI models to drive building design, layouts and façades. Our team focused on creating series of custom-tuned models and datasets on personal hardware to help make design decisions. The AI studies drew inspiration from computer chips and circuit board textures creating unique tapestry for the building wrapper and elements of building organization.
